| Behind every great man, there is a great woman. It was true that Menthe was the leader of the clan, but while many members of the clan bowed to him, many bowed to her as well. She would regard them with gentle smiles and a mother’s gaze. Though they weren’t her children by blood, to Annabelle, every dragon in the clan was family. As the clan leader’s mate, it was without a doubt that Annabelle would be beside him watching over the clan. With that position, she had become like the clan’s mother. Often she would be seen by the nests; sometimes caring for the nesting mothers or watching over hatchlings. She knew of the troubles of being first time parents (having been one in the past) and she knew of the difficulties of nesting, it was no wonder that she was often found there. Perhaps, what she loved most about caring for nests were the hatchlings. There was nothing more beautiful than watching a life come into the world. Kind and considerate she may be, she had standards and rules to implement. Though she saw her clan as a second, much larger family, Annabelle would not tolerate those who broke the rules. After all, rules were put in place for a reason. She would rather not see her family harmed due to a disobedience of rules. Many say that her anger is force to be reckoned with, far more than that of Menthe. |

This little Ragamouse often accompanies Annabelle on her duties. He loves playing with the hatchlings the most. It was a bit tiring, but he loved being surrounded by the happy giggles they gave. Though his main duty is to help keep an eye on the hatchlings, it felt more that he’s their toy than anything. |
