Biography
Sakura shivered, a feeling of dread prickling up the back of his neck. Shadow was creepy, no doubt about it. Ahead of him, Mystic lead the way and behind him was Brandir, Yousou and Opal.
“Okay, we’re almost there.” Mystic told them.
Hopefully the mission to rescue the kidnapped dragons would be successful. Five dragons had gone missing from the clan, and Mystic claimed to know where they were.
Sakura passed through a bramble patch and entered a clearing. Almost immediately he saw Spark. She stood out against the gloom, as did Tetai, who’s bright scales glimmered. Harder to see were Shade, Onyx, and Ravenfeather, who were all tied up.
“You guys good?” Sakura asked as the other dragons started to cut the bonds on the others.
Ravenfeather stood shakily and almost fell back. Opal ran over to her, taking her from Sakura.
“Everybody ready to move out?” Sakura asked.
“Not so fast.” A voice announced.
Sakura turned to see a pink Skydancer, her face hidden by a bright red rogue mask. Behind her stood a group of dragons, each one’s face hidden by a mask.
“Where are you going with our hostages?! I only recognize two of you!” She snarled.
Brandir hissed at her, flapping his wings. “Denye.”
She laughed, her voice like that of a harpy.
Before Brandir could launch himself at her in fury, Sakura did.
In retrospect, it was a stupid idea. Denye was older than him and had more experience, yet Sakura knew he couldn’t let the others down. He had to give them a chance to escape.
