Good at communicating with others- a skill he picked up from his mother before he left to search for his own charge.

Learned the Pidgin system of taps and gestures that his mother created before he left.

Took on the task of merging this simpler language with the one that Tincture brought over from her old clan. Basically an attempt to make a simpler "trade language" that all the island's dragons could effectively utilize and learn. The hatchlings always learn the fastest- and often correct mistakes made by the older dragons.

It has the simplistic style and gestures of Nocturnal's pidgin sign language, with an expanded vocabulary and style change from Tincture's clan's language. The islanders are constantly suggesting new ideas and terms for words that neither language covered- often creatures or objects unique to the Water flight territory. Tenebris and Tincture make sure to pass this new knowledge along to Hazel, who has begun to thoroughly record this hybrid language so that the pearlcatcher might add it to the records at the Casparnian Library.

Decent enough fighter, has no problem throwing his weight around to get the space he needs.

Occasionally has problems secreting a thick, black mucus- much like that which pearlcatchers use on their pearls.
