A B O U T
Beetle’s small stature, flexibility, and steady fingers make her the ideal surgeon. While she has some trouble operating on much larger breeds, she is dedicated to helping as many dragons as she can. Her particular strain of Plague magic helps to fortify immune systems and prevent the spread of infection, quite the boon in her line of work.

She has an exemplary bedside manner -- or at least tries to. Her typical fae monotone and lack of readable facial expressions can come off as apathetic or unfeeling at first to dragons unfamiliar with her breed. Even still, she spends as much time as she can spare with her patients, speaking with and reassuring them.

Despite the breed-related misconceptions, she is a genuinely cheerful sort of dragon. She would love to sing, but can’t ever get the tunes quite right, so she opts to make music by whistling or occasionally playing her panpipes. During the summer months, she enjoys taking flights at dusk to hear the crickets and cicadas.

H I S T O R Y
Beetle received most of her education at a very prestigious Plague-aligned college, one that was renowned for graduates that entered into and reached great acclaim in the medical field. Unfortunately, she was expelled before receiving her degree when she began to show an interest in necromancy, a field of study forbidden by most reputable Plague schools.

Though she has learned the hard lessons that prevent her from raising the dead as she pleases, Beetle still likes to collect bones and other remains of deceased animals to study. She keeps an immaculate collection, though it is usually locked up in her study since many dragons find the habit somewhat distasteful.

While she gets along with most dragons once they get used to her peculiar mannerisms, she finds Ereshkigal to be an exceptionally fascinating case and takes the time to sit down with the taciturn dragon whenever she allows it.
