Hatched and raised into a brutal clan of scavengers, after her egg was found all alone just on the outskirts of the Reedcleft Ascent, Rala always felt disgusted by the beastliness of the clan that took her in.

One day she decided to help her fellow clan member Raziel and her hatchling escape after the leader threatened to kill the babe. Caught in the act she challenged the leader of the clan to a duel for her life. With all her desperation and willpower she managed to take the fight into the air and defeat him, but fell badly wounded into the ocean.

When all hope was lost a kindhearted Nocturne fished her out and nursed her back to health. A profound friendship blossomed betweeen them in the months she spent with his clan. The two of them decided to embark on their own adventure where they eventually created their own clan of traveling archeologists, with Rala acting as their unchallenged and just leader.

The day Aella and her mother Orlin joined the clan everything changed. The Windsinger had led them to Ralas Clan to stop a secret organisation from ushering in The End of All living creatures and Sornieth. To stop the Heralds from finding the Unhallowed Artifacts before them, they decided to travel all of Sornieth and uncover the secrets of the Unhallowed Artifacts, the Heralds of the End and the dark entity only known as Noitcelfer.

Ralas egg was created by an unholy mix of Alchemy and Dark Magic by a secret organisation called The Heralds of the End. The body was made for the sole purpose of being an empty vessel for the Master of the Emptiness, Noitcelfer. When the Magician Orlin decided to leave the Heralds with her new-born hatchling she took Ralas and the other spare egg they created with her, to stop Noitcelfer from gaining a physical form again. She was closely followed by her furious firstborn and was almost at the end of her powers when the Arcanist listened to her desperate prayer, filled the empty eggs with the spark of live and sent them away with the winds to be raised far away from the Heralds reach. The 12th born was enraged by this and swore that he would find the traitor and the vessels that were taken from him. Fate brought Rala and the other former vessel Loras together again and they formed the Clan of the Hallowed Ground. When Orlins daughter Aella received visions from the Windsinger that the only way to permanently stop Noitcelfer would be to assemble all Unhallowed Artefacts they tracked down Ralas and Loras clan to join them. They knew that if Noitcelfer would possess a vessel that could contain all of his powers all of Sornieth would be lost. In their search for the Artefacts Rala and Loras are joined by many who may help or hinder them on their journey.
