POSEIDON, THE PRINCE'S BODYGUARD

poseidon is the eldest dragonet in the castle, older than even spacetime and pikwee. put into training shortly before the siege, his impressive water-control powers and quick wit made him a good fit for the personal guard of the new prince, whom was a target to a few enemy kingdoms before the attack. it was planned that because he was also a pearlcatcher, he'd guard the treasury part-time. however, during the attack, poseidon was already aware that the kingdom would fall. he grabbed the prince's egg, thinking on his feet, and ran to the king, whom gave him further instructions to leave with the small "survivor party" already being planned. poseidon did as told, giving his final goodbye to the king, before taking off to flee from his only home.
he had always been suspicious of hellbent and wrathful, and holds pikwee in high regards after seeing how well the foreigner was able to use his talented and brilliant brain to think on his feet as well. they've become close friends, and poseidon respects pikwee, spacetime, and the prince for their intelligence, quick thinking, and smart planning, which art three traits he himself has, and requires for other dragons before he'll even think to befriend them.
