Nivur was the oldest in his clutch, hatched first, and was the largest of his siblings. He was often times able to win play-fights between his brothers and sisters and was usually able to use his size as an advantage. When he grew older, he learned that his size was not all fit -- for his speed was much slower. His parents had allowed him to learn this on his own when he went to race one of his adult sisters. Losing had been a huge injury to his ego, if not a very important lesson about differing body types and their ups and downs. As Nivur grew, he grew overprotective and sometimes aggressive towards dragons outside his Clan, making it difficult for visitors who were not the usual to enter their territory. When Nivur reached an age where he could survive on his own, he was hesitantly told to find a new Clan -- like many of his siblings before him were told. The male fought to stay, insisting that his birthplace was his home, but his parents would not fight for him to stay. With their promises to allow him to visit on occasion, and with more promises to come visit him as well, Nivur and his siblings left, each going their own ways.
It took months of sulking and finding himself for Nivur to decide to seek out a new Clan. Once the reality of his solitary behavior and the loneliness that came with not having other dragons, friendship and family and meaning, set in, Nivur hopped from Clan to Clan in search of a home. When he found Aluna and Ailron sometime during his search, speaking of their lack of territory guard and protection, Nivur invited himself over to the two dragons. At first, they had been somewhat intolerant of the approach, but as he sat across from them and told his story [ uninvited, mind you! ], they agreed to give him a chance. After explaining the very strict rules against violence unless absolutely unavoidable, they explained that they were only in the Light Flight for a visit. These two dragons had been far from home visiting their friends and were soon to go back home in the Arcane Flight. When they brought Nivur back with them, he immediately began working to prove his worth. He kept out unwanted dragons looking for trouble and worked closely with Aromis, the Head Solider and Peacekeeper, on patrolling territories and training. Despite his upfront and seemingly aggressive nature, he grew on his new family quickly.
