Main Theme: Rainfall

______ Rainfall was born on a rainy day, though, so deep under the sea he knew nothing of it until leaving his home forever. His birthplace was good, alien compared to his mother's own, but beautiful nonetheless, as a water dragon he was able to dive deep into the sea and not need to come for air for a long, long time and so, dive he did, even if only to be away from his mother and his siblings. His mother was... she was not a bad dragon per se, she was, simply put, just cold, her eyes white as ice and within it an eternal snowfall was trapped leaving a trail wherever she passed, any moment she was near him it was cold and not only physically, she was an Ice Empress as she usually told them indeed, even if an empire she had not anymore.

______ It was Aufeis' need to rule and to be above others that drove Rainfall away, her obssession to be workshipped by all, even by her own children, his siblings happilly doing without a second thought, as if they were not blood of her own blood. For someone like her the whole world was below her, Rainfall didn't want an Empress as a mother, he didn't want to rule, all he wanted was a family.

______ Certain day he saw his mother receive a letter that upon a glance was discarded to the floor, uninportant to her, but the name signed piqued his curiosity - Cadma, where did he heard it before? Since it was thrown away he didn't felt bad for opening it and for his utter surprise it was from his grandmother . The letter was brief, simple questions asking how his mother was fairing and how life was going, where she was, if she was happy and things along these lines... yet, despite that hope bloomed in his heart.

______ It took only a few days for Rainfall to decide, he was young, too young perharps to go on a journey through half of Sornieth in search for a stranged part of his family that could be as cold as his mother, but he had to try. He took his few belongings and said his goodbyes, some were met with incredulity (by the kind clansmates he lived with) and others with little to no acknowledgment, a quick and heartbreaking nod from his mother that only steeled his resolve.

THE JOURNEY

______ The journey to find his family was not an easy one, he flew through stoms and blizzards, running away from beatclans and dragons alike, for someone so small and unexperienced fighting was out of question, but also with each danger avoided he gained wisdom and with it his gift for magick also evolved.

______ At the end he was able to leave the Sea of a Thousand Currents behind, his birthland was still dear to him and would always have a special place in heart, but now all he could think was his need to find his other home, through his travels all he could think was it and he hoped from the bottom of his heart that he would find a place to call his when he arrived or else his heart would be too broken to anything anymore.

______ The Windsept Plateu proved to be an easier region to travel trough the air and so quicker than his birthland he passed through. When he reached the Southern Icefields he imagined the cold would be another of his enemies, which for his surprise it wasn't, even as a water dragon, his mother's ice run deep it appered and despite his relationship with her, he was grateful for such an unexpected gift.

______ Then after so long, so many hardships he finally, finally reached his new home and for his utter surprise he was met by his grandmother, waiting for him in the gates of the clan, bewildered he asked her how she knew and for his astonishment she told him with a smile that a few days earlier his mother sent a letter to her, warning of his arrival. He was met with a warm hug and with joy and celebration towards the entire clan, his heart now mended and despite so far away he was finally able to let go of any ill feelings towards his mother.

RELATIONSHIPS

______ Despite growing up away from his mother and siblings, Rain still writes them very often, it's not always that he receives an answer, much less from his mother, but he still does it anyway.

______ Rainfall is very attached to his grandparents, Cadmi despite not being his grandfather by blood still loves him and treats him as spoiled as his own children and grandchildren and Rainfall loves him and call him 'granpa' as well, Rain also gets along well with the dragons of the clan, even those who are more grumpy or just straight up weird like Crystalgem or Broken.

______ His best friend though was Skadi, she was his aunt, but was born after he reached the clan, so he saw her more as a little sister than anything and they went on adventures through the clan territories throughout all her childhood and teenage years until she decided to leave the clan to explore the world.

______ Rainfall couldn't leave with her, no matter how worried he was of letting her go alone in the world, but the mere thought of leaving again was petrifying for him, he simply couldn't abandon his home, not again, not anymore. So he acompanied her as far as he could, hugged his best friend and little sister and aunt and gave one of his scales to her embedded in his magic and away she went.

______ Despite trying his best he still worries and prays, he hopes she's well and happy, she was never fond of writting, so he forces himself to understand, she's fine, he has to believe it.
