☆ Traits: Arrogant, Power-Hungry, Overconfident ☆ Lore: Where she goes, cold follows. In her homeland, this is at worst a curse, at best something utterly mediocre. It is already cold everywhere. She is special, she knew this about herself from the moment she hatched and marked the differences between herself and her eggmates. Cold can be difficult to come by in warmer climes. It is to these places she must look to receive the acknowledgment she deserves. And so it is to these other lands she goes, in search of a place where she will be properly appreciated. She finds a clan in Fire, little better than beasts, but the amount of reverence she is granted is difficult to pass up. She rules them for a short time, soon growing unsatisfied. Surely her name is greater than this, a small handful of scraggly dragons scratching out a bare existence. She rallies them to war, and they follow. The clans around them fall and are integrated one by one, and so the power of her name grows. Soon, however, she becomes too notorious. The nearby beastclans hear, and are afraid. They gather themselves, putting aside minor differences to deal with the greater threat. Aufeis' empire dies in one night. She flees to the east, leaving behind the pitiful few that managed to survive. The dragons of lightning do not know her name, but greet her gift with pragmatic enthusiasm. The simple acknowledgment is no longer gratifying, not after the outright worship of the fire dragons. The lightning dragons offer to pay her. They would put her to work, when she should rule. She continues north, but finds no satisfaction in the land of light. Their scholarly ways offer her even less acknowledgement than the lightning dragons. Frustrated, she turns towards water, leaving an unnatural winter in her wake. If they will not worship, then let them fear. |
