Jack is the founder of the Cosmic Cavern, originally clearing out the lair to use as shelter for himself when he grew weary from his travels. Upon returning to the lair one night, he found another dragon, Lightstorm, resting in the shelter. They agreed to work together to make the lair into a sanctuary for all wandering dragons in need of a place to stay.

One of few dragons who knows the ways of the old fae magic, Jack is able to do things beyond the capabilities of most fae dragons, such as fighting longer or traveling greater distances without growing weary. It is unknown how he obtained this magic or even where he came from before founding the clan, but he has made it his duty to teach all fae dragons who live in the Caverns this magic.

Jack is a loner out of necessity. He cares deeply for all he lets into his heart, but he prefers not to show this side of himself out of fear that it will be exploited as a weakness. He typically avoids forming attachments in order to make this easier on himself.

Nevertheless, Jack couldn't help but feel that there was a dragon out there that he was meant to meet. One who was fun-loving and friendly to balance out his down-to-business attitude and cold demeanor. Jack searched the lands of Sornieth frequently for this dragon, hoping that one day, their paths would intersect. When he met Gary, another wandering dragon with a tendency to get into trouble, Jack knew that he was the one. He asked Gary to join the clan and eventually grew close enough to him to claim him as a mate.
