❝ ┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄ if you strike the match, you're bound to feel the flame ❞ xxxxxvaxas is strong, stoic, and silent. he's forthright and shameless, but at a cost. he seems to be excruciatingly apathetic outside, however, he is quite frankly the very definition of troubled. his angst is kept in his head, pushed to a corner where he believes it will eventually disappear. because of the dam between his emotions and his expressions, he's very easily influenced and will take his turmoils out on himself or others. as a strong believer in self-sacrifice, vaxas continuously offers himself as a pawn to others. all in all, he's just a walking contradiction who hopes to escape himself. xxxxxvaxas is half fey. his mother, an earthling, had him when she was rather young. soon after her second child, mallius, however, she left with most of her husband's assets. vaxas and mallius had miserable childhoods due to the downward spiral of their father and the blame that he placed on them for their mother's leaving. the brothers became each other's best friends. as they grew older, they separated— mallius leaving to masdurett to become the royal army's commander as vaxas joins the frearie uprising, becoming the commander of that rebellion. as it stands, vaxas' skills in that rebellion granted him a spot as the current commander of the forces within midea's citadel. |

 made on rinmarugames.com paradox paradox is a manifestation of spiritual energy typically hides itself in vaxas' katana, or morphs itself into a pair of functional wings. it is only able to be seen by those who have these energy manifestations of their own, much like stands from jojo's bizarre adventure because i am a weeb. paradox in its humanoid form is simply a man wearing big teal flames that wash over taut muscles. its pupil-less eyes seem to glow and it always wears a smirk that seems to say 'i'm better than you'. paradox has developed a personality for itself over time, and aside from its build, it is nothing at all like vaxas. the frearie uprising frearie is one of the many realms in midea, housing elves and many other diverse species. unbeknownst to the kingdom, demons dwell below in hidden caverns, unhappy with their lack of territory. they rise to the surface, declaring and winning a war in almost a day after slaughtering the royal family. not about to give in, civilians brought the bodies of the royal children to emilia, a woman known as 'the wisp', where they were revived for the purpose of retaking frearie. vaxas was a training soldier within the midean citadel when he decided to travel to frearie. there, he stayed for several years before his skill allowed him to rise the in the ranks and become commander. joined by captain 'a' and the four royal children of frearie, the quest to retake the kingdom begins. the rebellion is stationed in a complex cavern system within the mountains just north of the frearie border. soon after the land is recovered, vaxas leaves frearie and becomes the commander of midea's main citadel forces. |

Everyone around Vaxas tends to wonder why his arms are wrapped in bandages and where the wounds came from, to the point where a lot of wild rumours have circulated because of them (about half of these were started by Mallius for his own amusement).
The real cause of the bandages was an incident from when the brothers were kids, and still fending for themselves. Mallius was trying to steal food from a market stall to feed the two of them, but got caught. The owners didn't take kindly to the starving child's pleas, and threatened to cut his hands off for his crimes. Before anything serious could happen to his brother, Vaxas showed up to fight off the owners, lashing out without any concern for his own safety.
The two ended up escaping: Mallius had only a few bruises from trying to wriggle free, but Vaxas had his hands cut badly. They were dressed as well as Mallius could manage, and the wounds never fully healed.
