Biography
(Why the heck were you only 50g...?)
He remembered.
The shimmering petals of the ecliptic orchids as they swayed in the cool breeze. The aroma of crackling wood carried to him on ashen mist. The gentle rumbling that was the thrice echoed laughter of his father.
Why did he remember?
The orders, the call to arms when the wretched quizling had fled beyond the Shroud. He had answered, though Father was reluctant to let his Heir take up the chase. Yet it was his duty, so he would be reborn. But...the ritual should have temporarily stripped his memories, until he met with the one in charge.
That had not happened.
His body's parents were no doubt bemused by the contract that blinked across his flesh, but perhaps no more so than the starlit void that danced across his new form...just like it did across his true one.
He left as soon as he was mature enough to do so, the years of repeated youth an irritating bane, highlighted only by laughter at his confused clan when they watched an infant perform fears surely incapable for one so young.
He had a duty to fulfill, though it would not be easy...but at least one thing would be: reaching his gathering comrades. The rumours of the secretive clan and it's dark leader had traveled far and wide, so he knew where he was bound for.
They recognized him.
The ones who met him at the edge of the territory, no doubt sentinels meant to drive away the unwelcome. But the widening of many eyes that surveyed his obsidian form, the crunch of dead leaves as they dropped to the ground before him, told him everything he needed to know.
To the centre of the clan he was brought. Greeted by a form as dark as his, one that stole the light just as his sang in it. He knew her, knew most of those who stood as her kin - though he did recognize the pale ones, the two brothers. He would learn of them later, but for now...greeting his commander was more important.
She watched him with icicles, before dropping down into a low bow.
