B I O G R A P H Y

The Imperial sat in his chamber, under the pulsing roots, looking over the scroll in front of him. It felt like ages since Opal had given him this position before leaving to help that Shade-Tainted Fea dragon whom she called her friend. Opal had now returned, though, the war had not been won nor lost. Both forces had to fall back do to casualties and low supplies, resulting is somewhat of a stalemate. The dragon read over the scroll about the ‘Shade-Tainted’ with so many questions floating in his head. How could Opal help one of them? How come this Shade-Tainted friend of hers hasn’t snapped yet? What will happen now that they’re back? What if his kindness was just a facade to fool them all? His thoughts were interrupted by by a loud knocking on the cave entrance to his chamber.

”You may enter,” he said. A young Coatl stepped in, shaking a bit due to to the fact she was nervous. “What is it Forest?” he said, standing up. “Opal w-wants to s-see you” she replied “No need to be nervous, I’m still just a dragon like you” he chuckled. The coatl let out a quiet, nervous/awkward giggle, still uncomfortable. They walked out into the main chamber of the cave, decorated with various things, mostly consisting of Gems, minerales, rocks, bones, a few different enchanted objects and a couple of non-infected vines growing up the caves’ sides. Opal was waiting along with the Shade-Tainted Fea, Shadow. The young coatl walked to the other side of Opal, and sat down as nature seemed to follow her and creatures sat beside her. “I am now giving everyone a new Charge,” she stated, “Starting today, Andamooka, is now an official member of my council.” Stunned, he never thought he would have been given an honor. “Thank you, I am honored you would give this Charge to me” he said, in a respectful and formal manner. “Shadow is to be my right-wing, and will now be seen as a leader such as I am” Opal continued. Andamooka’s blood ran cold and he froze. How could she make a Shade-Tainted her right-wing? He’s dangerous, whether or not Opal believes he is. “Forest is now our official Healer, and a member of my council, and should be treated with as much respect as I,” Opal continued giving out Charges to ‘worthy’ dragons, while Andamooka continued questioning Opals choice of a right-wing.

”Opal? may I have a word,” he walked into her chamber, adorned with bones, gems, haunting objects, and pulsing vines. “yes,” she replied “What is it?” He decided not to sugarcoat it, “How could you let a Shade-Tainted join your council? How could you have even socialized with a creature of his origin?” Opal, enraged, she dropped her formal facade, “Listen here you, I don’t care what you say or think about Shadow, or any other Shade-Tainted dragon, I met him when I was a hatchling, he taught me how to control my powers, and helped me start this clan along with Forest. He hasn't done anything to harm another dragon except in self defence and this is the respect you give him? I thought you were a respectful dragon, who had respect almost all dragons, and now look at you. Get your fricken act together and show some respect or I’ll shatter you!” Andamooka was taken aback, shattering was for those of clan who were accused of treason! He realized that he should be respectful to Shadow, instead of believing that every Shade-Tainted dragon is bad, just because he read a scroll on it. Opal’s Glare was transfixed on him, waiting for his reply. “Your right,” he started, “I may be older, but that doesn’t mean I know that a dragon is bad just because of their origins. I need to accept that he is a part of our clan, and he deserves as much respect, if not more, than you and I.” Opal relaxed, satisfied with his answer. Though I am an elder and a leader, he thought, I can still learn things from the younger leaders. The imperial returned to his chamber, picked up the scroll he had been reading, and placed it back into the shelf it can from. “Even Older leaders need younger ones to correct and change their point of view.” he said to himself.
