Her mother was happy but not mothering as she broke from her shell and met her mother's eyes. It was as if, right as she had hatched, she had been tasked with her first mission though he mother didn't give any indication of what that was. Nor would she for the first several hours. Rather, she made sure she was fed and happy and looked after, dismissing her work to make sure that her daughter was healthy, but she didn't look at her as her daughter. The hatchling was but a hatchling that would grow up within a matter of days. She had to be prepped for her duties quickly as a member of the Other, she had to be told of how she was to be a part of an institute - whether it be to lead or serve - for another clan as the landmarks were being targeted by these monsters they referred to as beasts. The little Skydancer realized it was a lot to take in, but she also knew that she would be able to handle the task. She didn't need to stay here with her mother and she didn't really have a desire to either.
