PERSONALITY A solitary, wistful daydreamer. Cinder carries on his days tending to his flock of sheep, entertaining visits from his only remaining childhood friend, Ashina, the medicine seller. He mostly keeps to himself, preferring farm animals over dragons.  His eyes are flecked with hues of amber, greens, and a tinge of brown - a dazzling array of color that dances in the sunlight, but only if he lets others close enough to see it. He draws his power from the currents in the air, and he can tell when it will rain.ABOUT Cinder went by a different name before, and a different one before that. A softer, kinder name. They called him Hazel, once. But they burned that, too. They burned everything in The Fire. No longer was he known for his beautiful eyes, but the disfigured, blackened wings that with every beat seemed so close to crumbling into soot and bone. Whoever Cinder was before The Fire, he doesn't talk about it anymore. No one does. Cinder is a shepherd off the far plains. He lives as a modest nomad with his small flock, seemingly plagued by his own dreams, lying awake most nights. Only on the sunkissed hills does he seem to find any peace, a moment just quiet enough to rest his eyes. The hills are where Ashina usually finds him. An obelisk whose birthname was also claimed by The Fire, the two were lost lambs themselves, taken in by Requiem the Guide. Ferried over the ashen lake in a boat made of bones, Requiem took the children of the old village to safer shores. The dragons rescued that day share an indescribable bond with each other, though some have long left the far plains, as well as their former selves, behind. COMMENTS Was named bab, but apparently used to be named Hazel? Lovely name. I want to know what he looked like before to receive this comment.... "half of your dragons look like they mine for magical bone fragments and follow some unspeakable underground religion not fit for daylight eyes (in a good way, I mean. love it!). but I have to say that of all of them Hazel is the one that looks like he just lives in a thicket somewhere and occasionally bursts out and prophesizes at people until they give him money to go away." — bunjywunjy, Most likely a be a cultist above you
