Beatrix Clueless Mortician
"In sickness and health? Do you suppose you'll make it long enough for either? That could be fun."

A preparer of the dead, Beatrix lacks some serious bedside manner - which is probably beneficial in her line of work, where the clients can't exactly talk back. She openly discusses the morbid and the dreadful as if they were items on her shopping list, causing dergs with lesser stomachs to turn from her general presence. She doesn't mean any ill-will - she just holds a love for her job to a degree unusual for the average mortician. If tendrils need preserving, or a body needs a grave, Beatrix is the derg to call - just don't expect her to be much of a shoulder to cry on for the deceased's family.

She has been in the uncomfortable position of needing to embalm three of her previous mates, but she apparently considered the job the highest honor she could provide to them. One may play armchair psychologist and guess that this may be part of the reason why she holds such unorthodox attitudes around the topic of death.

Dergs that can weather her fascination with death are left with a relatively kind derg who apparently brews a mean meat stew.

While she once lived comfortably among her fellow fire dragons, this coatl was not immune to the call for adventure, and has spent her days traveling the wartorn parts of Sornieth that desperately need her skill set. With the recent increase in Emperor attacks, she is needed now more than ever - and when she arrives into a town, it is often seen as an ill omen. Morticians are not welcomed with open arms within Sornieth these days, their general presence a reminder of the closeness of death, though their skills are utilized regardless.

She hopes to use the money provided to her by the families of the grieving to open up a permanent funeral parlor, and deep in her heart, she is looking for yet another mate to settle down with. Her ideal vision of the future is to work side-by-side with her mate over a huddle of dead bodies, small hatchlings running and getting into formaldehyde at their feet.
