Thyme

A somewhat awkward, gangly dragon who is the head of the Spires' archives and library. If it was up to him, Thyme would leave the politics to his staff and devote all his time to his research. His studies concern the gathering and cataloguing of folk tales and legends. Because each region and clan has its own oral tradition this is a massive undertaking and Thyme is always lobbying for more funds and resources from the council. He's especially interested in beastclan tales because of what they can tell him about their worldview and their relationship with dragons. He hopes this will create a deeper awareness of the plight of the beastclans among his kind and might lead to more diplomatic relations.

Thyme has a small staff of scholarly dragons who help him out or travel far and wide to gather stories. They often collaborate with the Spires' diplomats and field agents, as such journeys are dangerous for a dragon alone.
