B I O G R A P H Y

Stormseer is a straight-forward skydancer born of lightning. From the time she was a hatchling, there has always been a charged air around her. Her crackle seemed alive, like streaks of lightning were embedded in her scales. She was found as a new hatch on the west shores of the clan with no memories, but a passion for thunderstorms. Her favorite place to roost is on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the beach, watching the storms roll in from the distance.

Stromseer is both the clan's Storm Chaser and Lightning Flight Representative, a title she reluctantly accepted after being adamantly nominated for the job. She's not interested in being seen as a diplomat, and would rather quietly do her job chasing storms across the waves.

Because she doesn’t know her parents, she always assumed she was an emissary of the Stormcatcher himself, born out of his elemental magic. One of the Stormdancers of legend who live only to manage and control the powerful weather systems he creates. But to her dismay, she had a low affinity for casting lightning magic and worse, no teacher to help her master it. She always believed that the Stormcatcher would eventually send her someone to learn from, but as the years passed by it slowly dawned on her that this new clan that had found her was her home. Being one of the Stormcatcher’s personal Stormdancer’s soaring through the Shifting Expanse was a dream she may not be able to realize, but she can be the Stormdancer for Goldenflight, keeping watch over the small clan from her rocky perch and making sure no storm sweeps it away.

Gene Changes
Unlike her current appearance, Stormseer was born looking like any other skydancer hatch. She had a basic hide, eyespot wings and her telltale crackle that implied she wasn’t just a normal hatchling. Overtime, her genes mutated from being exposed to the raw elemental energies of countless thunderstorms. Constantly changing wind conditions imprinted a swirled cherub design onto her body. This allows her to camouflage herself more effectively amongst the clouds. Her wings were also electrically bleached from the numerous lightning strikes that she endures, creating a light hex pattern across her feathers.

Familiars
Voltz, her sparkling goblin familiar, is a Lightning Catcher. They create intense magnetic fields with their claws which then act as lightning rods, attracting any stray lightning bolts headed for the lair. They can store the captured lightning energy in their fur and expel it at will.

Thoryvn, a masked harpy, was found roosting in one of the cliffs near the clan. Even though she was alone with no hint of a flock, because of the history between dragons and harpies, the fighters were going to eliminate her but Stormseer requested they not. Since she was the one who used the cliffs the most, she claimed responsibility for the harpy instead. They maintain a terse relationship – she doesn’t trouble the clan, Stormseer allows her to live. Having someone’s company up on the cliffs isn’t so bad either.
