STORMDANCERS
Stormdancers are agile creatures that feed off of the energy of storms. They have adopted to different biomes, and may be found wherever airborne storms occur (predominantly: the Shifting Expanse; the Windswept Plateau; and the Southern Icefield). They are marked by a crackling pattern that breaks over their skin, as though the storm in their heart is threatening to break out.
In their natural habitat, Stormdancers are drawn to storms, flitting high into the clouds to interact with them directly. The Lightning Dancers in particular seem impossibly agile, gliding between bolts of lightning as though it were an easy task. In truth, if they were to make a misstep, they would meet their death, but no Stormdancer has ever been known to fall prey to a storm.
Stormdancers may be identified by the color of the pattern that runs over their skin. It is said that a Stormdancer without access to regular storms will wither away, their bright plumage and lively crackling pattern dulling in color before they eventually perish.
