Gemsea is named for her eyes. The rare, gem-like shape made her parents believe that she had been born blessed. They were right. Gemsea's eyes see both mundane and magic. She sees the auras of dragons, the chains of warding spells, the unseen foes, and more.

Unfortunately, she lives right next to a huge magical anomaly that twists the world around it in unusual, unpredictable ways. This has made Gemsea's grasp on reality quite tenuous, as she can never be entirely sure of anything around her. She's mostly learnt to cope with it. Sometimes she'll ask people to double-check that something exists, or complain that all of the colours have just inverted... but by the standards of the Nebula Woods, that's practically normal.

In terms of personality, Gemsea is quite spoilt. Her parents absolutely dote on her. This has made her a bit of a pain to be around, though this is offset by her innate quirkiness.
