Biography

Cloudsong hatched in a lesser lair of the Wind domain. Because of his beautiful colors and singing voice he was chosen to go to The Cloudsong to train as one of the Windsinger's ambassadors. Young Cloudsong studied hard, and soon was old enough and we'll enough trained to leave the wind flight and find a new clan.

Cloudsong began his search at the trading post, he set up his balloon drum, and began to sing and play. Dragons from several flights, to judge by their eyes, paused to complement his playing. When he asked them if they needed a wind ambassador, they show their heads, and moved off. The young Coatl was beginning to consider packing up his instrument and going home for the night when he felt the mood at the trading post change.

Three dragons had just entered the area. The leader was a towering, antlered guardian, he was in conversation with a muscular, ragged, tundra. They were followed by an
unremarkable brown nocturne
. When the three arrived the silver mirror who had been chatting with Crim approached them. Cloudsong tilted his ear feathers to catch their conversation.

"How went the battles?" The mirror asked.

" Well," the Guardian growled, brandishing a glowing bottle, "we got one of these, and a wind battle stone."

"Nice," the mirror replied, "that's one of those new eye vials that are in such demand, if we sell it quickly we might make something off it. As for the wind stone, I doubt any of our wind dragons are interested. "

The Guardian shrugged, "Neither seem worth the effort, we've dragons of our own who'd like an eye vial."

" We do need a new wind rep," the tundra rumbled, "Hopefully one who can fight this time."

"Antonin fought in the early days," the Guardian corrected.

"He quit as soon as he could..." The tundra began, drawing himself up for an argument.

The mirror put himself between the two larger dragons, "there's a dragon here who is looking for a job as a wind rep."

Cloudsong realized that everyone's attention was now on him. Not just the four new dragons, but also the vendors, and the other patrons who appeared to be somewhat intimidated by these brawny newcomers.

"You boy, do you know how to fight?" The Guardian barked at him.

" I could learn." Cloudsong replied, this was the first clan that had shown any interest in hiring him, he was eager to be agreeable.

The Guardian closed the distance between them in three great strides and placed a massive paw on Cloudsong ' s shoulder. The young Coatl noticed two things. The first was ghat even though this guardian had a beard, she appeared to be female. The second was that if she chose to she could easily close her hand around his neck.

"What's your name?" She asked in a quieter voice.

"Cloudsong, " he replied.

She raised her massive head and addressed the onlookers. "Clan Arkar accepts Cloudsong as our wind representative, " she pressed the bottle into his paws, "a drink for our newest member!"

Cloudsong had always wondered what an eye vial tasted like, and gulped it down. His first impression was that vile was an appropriate description. The liquid was painfully cold and tasted like copper. He stuck out his tongue and saw that it was now shiny and copper colored. The potion had let off whips of vapor when he opened it, and he felt them going up his nose. The inside of his sinuses stung with the cold, he felt it trickling g out his ears. As this was happening he felt power surge and swirl over his wings, and his vision began to blur and spin.

Moments later it cleared, mostly, every dragon at the trading post had a green glow around them, mostly faint, but brighter on some, especially bright around the guardian. He wondered what it meant. Then he noticed the green power surging and swirling over his wings. He took a gasping breath and said "Thank you, Clan leader."

Arkar nodded, "Come then, you have a new home now, and you can be a mate for my granddaughter. Others are currently training, but we'll fit you in as we have time, and you shall learn how to fight."

Cloudsong nodded and followed along, overjoyed to have found such a powerful clan. He was even more pleased when he met Fruity Oaty Bar, his new mate. she also loved to sing and dance, and didn't appear bothered that her clan leader had simply handed her a male. By dawn they were sitting the first of many nests they would sit together.
