  • Tempered like a feral wolf most of the time, Illuso is difficult to tolerate at best. He's all teeth and no fur to even his own Ansolacephir kin and more than willing to wound any of them if they snap his very thin patience. With spittle flung in vicious hisses and fangs bared at just the sight of someone approaching him, it's not hard to learn that he's best left to his own devices.
  • But as is with all things, there are exceptions to his default hatred. He has two cursed hatchlings he's taken under his care, and by extension, a co-guardian that he doesn't hate. Ardent is...fine, Illuso guesses. He's affable enough that it's hard to spark aggression from illuso and he trusts the Tundra enough to rest near him, he doesn't force conversation or get himself in much trouble either. The brats on the other claw.
  • Tethys is easier to bear being around due to the fact that she is closer to her other guardian and thus takes after his quieter disposition, but Kullervo is a menace and Illuso refuses to acknowledge it's because the Skydancer takes more after himself. With his high energy levels and a taste for mischief, if not downright chaos, Illuso will often (carefully) toss Kullervo away from him by his tail or a limb (to the delight of the hatchling). That rough treatment isn't shown to Tethys, however, as Illuso isn't stupid and knows that if the little Coatl was even a pinch scared by the action she'll wail into Ardent's mane with a toothy, hidden smile, and Illuso's head would be served to her on a platter. Tattletale.
  • As much as he growls and complains about the eternal hatchlings, when they come to him for protection, whether it be from a legitimate or non-existent threat, he's instantly on the defensive, on guard and ready to tear anything nearby to shreds.
  • Ardent and Illuso are hesitant to mention the mortal plane if they even so much as suspect the tots could be nearby, but somehow Kullervo has heard of it, most likely from other Ansolacephir inhabitants, and frankly Illuso is more than a little worried. It's not like any of them can permanently die or anything, but Illuso still fears the Skydancer will find some way to get there and get himself killed or reveal what they are to mortals, awakening an awareness of other planes of existence and threatening the small amount of normality the greater dragons have. Illuso wants to take the hatchlings to the mortal plane in order to quell their curiosities, but Ardent is stalwart in his insistence they absolutely cannot do that.
