Reminder to self: Save a male babe from this pair for Starlightpips! She once thought her colouring a terrible omen. A body bathed in blood, a bone-pattern that only highlighted her with death. She sought to change that, and wandered away from The Tangled Wood in search of things that could change her. She knew too little, and went out too naive. But she got what she sought, and more. Ill-prepared to fight out in the wilderness on her own, she took a bite from an Onyx Cobra. What shame, she thought! Twarted by a mere snake of all things. If she didn't subside on a diet of seafood, she would have gobbled the menace up in revenge! But her body felt weak, and something beneath her scales burned. She trudged on for as long as she could, losing focus until she didn't even remember when she even blacked out. When she woke, she was nestled within someone's lair. She shifted, and feel something odd in her scales drag across the course sands of the lair flooring. She paid that no mind as she gazed towards the only light source in view: the entrance to the lair, where the sun was rising, illuminating the Scarred Wasteland. How she came here, she was drawing a blank... But there was a presence in the lair with her, one that may answer her questions: "Ah, so you are a survivor, then. How splendid for you to have wandered into my lair, then." A male voice with a deep growl grabbed her by both attention and by her jaw with his claw. She saw the male ridgeback, in gleaming metals an deep red glossy gem traits... so red, so bloody red...so... Sanguine. But with oddly crazed wind-element eyes. He was even further from home than she was, in this lair between the flights of Shadow and Plague. She doesn't know what compelled her to stay. But stay she did. Sanguine was not the worst of companions. No, she thought. If she were the omen of blood, then he was the omen of rage that comes before blood. How fitting...
