Biography
|| Anhunn ||
Eloquent, Amiable, Calm, Jaded, Reserved, Daring
Ex-traveling entertainer, adept at singing, dancing, and being a fine piece of eye candy ;-). Currently residing with queerplatonic parter, Silas. Spends most of his days now in leasure. Helping Silas look after his plants, reading, a little woodcarving hobby alongside Silas's candlemaking, |
|| History ||
Two things that Anhunn enjoys are trinkets and attention. the Dragon soaks up any stray affection like a sponge and is more than happy to be another's eye-candy in return for some shiny baubels or a warm bed (and he prides himself in being an attentive lover, few dragons leave Anhunn's plush embrace unsatisfied). However, if a dragon expects Anhunn to stay in one spot for long, or not to dip when things get a little too "hectic" for his tastes, they will be sorely disappointed. Just because Anhunn doesn't mind much if the dragons he services are say... murders, or criminals, or participate in certain realms of what most would consider morally reprehensible things, doesn't mean he's willing to settle down, stick around. He's lost faith such things. It's easier on his heart not to expect them to begin with. Still, he yearns. So Anhunn travels, enjoys the wonders of Sorienth without any chains of commitment holding him down. One of his other talents, and sources of livliehood, comes from his rumbling, honeyed voice. He's serenaded fellow travelers around a crackling campfire, sung to pirates for a share of their treasure and a taste of the sea-wind rushing through his mane. He's lulled crying fledglings to sleep and given farmers a source of entertainment amidst their toiling under the beating sun. Over his years, he's collected stories as well. Anhunn is a talkative fellow, and perhaps likes to hear himself speak a little too much, yet he beleives striking a conversation with an intriguing stranger is one of the most delightful pleasures of life. |
There is a third thing Anhunn enjoys. Reluctantly. He enjoys Silas. A blind candle maker who he had the fortune of meeting one night. When the sky overhead was rolling and darkened, and the scent of rain heavy in the air, Anhunn had stumbled, drenched, to the other dragon's door. With lighting cracking open the heavens, he asked for shelter. Silas was cautious, and held himself with a weary resignation within the sliver of his door. Though Anhunn offered him a many things for the service, Silas denied them, his voice a mere whisp against the storm. Despite denying his offers, Silas granted him shelter. Little did Anhunn nor Silas know that this moment would alter the course of both of their lives. Silas, resigned to loneliness and used to being taken advantage of, and Anhunn, longing for real connection yet bitter towards commitment. And their friendship wasn't immediate, few things are. But after they shared a night of fumbling yet friendly conversation, finding shared interests and laughter in one another, when Anhunn was about to leave in the morning and Silas asked, tentative, if he might visit again, Anhunn considered it. |
A few months later, he found himself at Silas's doorstep again. This time he stayed for a week, told Silas of his travels and helped the other dragon tend to his plants, their leaves red and fuzzy beneathe Anhunn's pawpads. He left again. But as though a cord of his soul had been tangled with Silas's, tugging him gently in his direction, after only a single month he returned once more. Soon, Anhunn's time spent away from Silas became less than his time spent with. Anhunn was content with this. Somewhere deep down, it frightened him to realize that. It was worth all the fear though. Just the sight of Silas made a smile curl on his muzzle, a fondess that was almost overwhelming swelling within him. It was a warm, gooey creature huddled in his chest. Like leaves sticky with sap and evenings spent snoozing under quilts. There is no other dragon Anhunn would rather have in his arms, and no amount of shiny trinkets nor baubles could ever change that. |
