A blind candle maker. He has a knack for telling fortunes as well, but he doesn't like doing it. People have taken advantage of him before, so he tends to keep his distance.
Silas is a softspoken dragon, and tends to get lost in his work when he's not paying attention. He works on his candles from dawn to dusk, and dragons rarely see more than a glimpse of him from day to day.
The walls of his lair are crowded with candles carved with intricate illustrations. Crimson candles dipicting phoenixes in flight, golden candles adorned with blooming lotuses, amber candles showcasing a sunrise at the peak of a mountain- no one candle was quite like the other.
Red maples and flowering orchids are placed wherever there's free space, which there is very little. Somehow they existed only by the warm light of the candles. Tattered tomes leaned against the wall or were stacked in precarious towers, their covers worn and dozens of vibrant bookmarks sticking out them. The air was heavy with the scent of cinnamon and burning wax, so thick, it seemed to settle warm and solid in your lungs. From outside, the soft clinking of the chime playing in the wind could be heard.
