" I can't stand this agony"
Dilarin takes the skulls of animals and prey that hunting and ranging parties bring back for him. he paints them using predominantly black, but every other color he uses is very dark. before that he carves them into mysterious shapes, modifying the skulls to make them look mystifying and beautiful. he puts these works of art in his own lair and around the hallways. it was an almost forgotten skill passed down to him by his father, when he was still alive. what happened to his old clan is a mystery to others, but in NightClan he helps out with whatever he can and sometimes makes small gifts as tokens of friendship to those around him. he is good at finding out what people like and dislike, their triggers and such.
When the Imperial was young,a group of Light dragons that had gone insane took over his clan. they tortured the Alpha,Dilarin's father, for days until he died. they burned his wings first. he couldn't take it any more. he'd seen all he loved shredded apart piece by piece,by something so overwhelming that it worked it's way inside and he just couldn't seem to get away. he cracked, his rage and pain exploding outwards in a wave of pure agony. the shadow magic killed most of the Light intruders, but he hunted down and killed every single one. when he was done, there was nothing. he spent days Rotting In Vain, prowling the lands of his old clan like a dog waiting for a dead master. he discovered that he could do many things with his powers. he could duplicate his bones and make them appear from the bone markings on his body, using them to hit things and combining them with Mist Slash and Shroud sometimes.
He would have eventually killed himself if it wasn't for a certain Skydancer showing up. Opherion instantly lifted his spirits, healing some of the fresh wounds that scarred his conscience. he didn't let is own pain spill onto his companion, but distracted himself with testing the other's powers. they were soon on the move. together. the further away Dilarin got from his old clan, the better. he realized how much Opherion helped him and began to have certain feelings about him. he was gay,but could he fall for someone so soon after his life had been torn apart? it turns out that he could. they were no longer just 'friends' anymore. they both felt a change, but neither told the other.
A few months passed. they reached NightClan and decided to stay. there were a few Light dragons here,so Dilarin avoided them as much as he could. he could not stand their presence. the overwhelming brightness, digging it's way into his senses and infecting his mind with this shining radiance he could not bear to stand for more than a few minutes. despite this,he knew they were all good dragons, even the Liteth Ones. he enjoyed spending time with the clan, and soon learned that most of the Shadows found Light a little overbearing. he especially enjoyed spending time with Opherion, the conversations they had and skills they shared. even the occasional flirting.
