Biography
Party boy.
Bring some colour into your life dragonettes! |
Ameloren is full of love.
Always there for his friends he can often be seen training the youngsters in the coliseum, encouraging them with loving words at the beginning of each round - regenerating their vitality if they have not fully recovered before being inundated with another, and continuing to do so... closely monitoring the trainee in need and offering sagely advice. It's the mind you have to conquer after all, the body knows what to do instinctively - few trainees need more than a few practise swings before they are already refining and honing their art!
Apprentice magisters become adepts - although much study must be made before they become powerful like their teachers. Leadership becomes a given. They must become proficient at pronouncing their invocations in all kind of challenging situations, at reinstating their minds point of focus in only the time it takes to inhale. Some become the masters of anticipating attacks, harnessing the opponents' forces and turning them against them - all the while observing their companions and foreseeing the need for healing spells and ensuring the provision for a large supply of breath needed to enact them successfully in only a short battle moment. Timing was everything. If you waited until the chance was right amd the enemy showed you his weakness (especially when rallying your team for a combined attack) the opponent could often be eliminated in one swift move.
Of course it was all games.
All part of the dragon and beastclans' training regime to prepare for the Shade, an ambiguous perceived threat which has united them to suffer and endure the trials of battle constantly.
Groups of 2,3 or 4 opponents face off against up to 3 dragons at a time. The battles are fierce and challenging, for they know not what they are preparing against, they must be ready for anything and everything.
When one is knocked down he is out for the round and given only until the end of the current battle to partially recover before being sent back out to stand beside their friends and overcome once again.
After sparring, beastclan members and dragons who have earnt each others mutual respect occasionally become familiar with each other and so alliances are strengthened between the previously battling civilisations. Beastclans living in the dragons' territories become somewhat civilised themselves. Some perservering anti-social traits still persist in particular breeds, albeit in a more subdued and often secretive fashion.
