Biography
(Lore by LunaTenebrisFlos):
Sagitta did not remember much from his past life. If there was thing he did remember, it was the emptiness. The cold, lonely abyss that was his existence without sentience. Except for one night, when he looked down upon the land he had soared over since his very creation. There was... someone.
A Skydancer looked up from below, a telescope in hand. She seemed to be mapping the stars, focused solely, at the moment, on Sagitta. He had no mouth, and yet he smiled. He eyes, and yet he saw. He had no wings, and yet he flew. He had no heart, and yet it beat. He had no mind, and yet he thought, "That dragon down below, as bright and powerful as I and the stars around me, that shimmers, shines, and glows compared to the dull, solid earth around her... she has noticed me. I have been... seen."
He wanted to move, to dance, to sing out with joy that he was not alone in this world. That for the first time in his life, there was something- someone else. But something had occurred to him. "Has she noticed, that I've noticed?"
And so, his wishes began. It was quite easy to wish upon shooting stars when you could not leave their domain. And so he wished, and wished, with what little hope he could, to become real. To be one with the night sky. To be real to this Skydancer who had come night after night, just to see him. And his prayers were answered.
One night, with an explosion of primal, arcane magic in the sky, he was sent tumbling downwards towards the earth. It was a new feeling, to him. Living, breathing, heart beating, thoughts tumbling, wings folding closing living and seething. As existence twirled around him like a panicked school of fish as he tried to grapple onto his thoughts long enough to comprehend what was happening, that he was real, and alive, and present, and it hurt. What were these feelings, these... things that crawled through his skin and his mind? These poems of words writhing through his veins like water trickling down a forest stream.
What was it, to exist?
According to his visual sensory organs, it was love. His body ached and burned as he took in the crater around him, he spotted it, or rather, her. The Skydancer he had watched, who had watched, since those many nights ago. She stood, frozen, terrified, staring at this new, mysterious nocturne.
He tried to move, but he did not know how. He tried to speak, but no words came out. He was frustrated, and maybe a bit scared, but he did not know what this meant. He rolled over and clamped his claws to the ground, his eyes shut tight as he attempted to unscramble his newfound thoughts for the words he needed, and spoke.
