Biography

While Whisp inherited her mother’s harsh nature, she has fine-tuned her own violent tendencies and is now a trained fighter who only attacks when necessary. While Whisp may look intimidating, it is only a part of her act. When she was very young, she learned that dragons are cowardly by nature: they do not fight someone if they are scared of them. As a hatchling, Whisp had a very short temper, and had a tendency to scream louder than banshee when someone insulted her or one of her friends. When that happened, even Pentril couldn’t get her daughter under control. Wysteria was the one that taught Whisp how to fight in a controlled way, calculating one’s movements so that the enemy could be defeated using the least energy possible – instead of the wild flailing of tail and claw that Whisp used to employ during her fights (if you could even call them that). Once Whisp finally learned to calm down, she realized that she didn’t fight to cause trouble, but to stop it. Whisp is currently apprenticing to be Wysteria’s deputy, and is learning how to better manage her temper that still flares up when she sees someone being mistreated. After her initial fight with Hunter, she hoped never to see the odd dragon again, but his subsequent intrusions have left her with only mild annoyance. His eager nature, although focused on fighting her, makes him seem at times almost childlike. He introduced himself as "a hunter" after their first fight, but Whisp won't tell him her name, leading to her nickname "Lionsnake", after her appearance and familiar.
