IPBES

IPBES was the first coatl in the clan and was bought from the market at a mere three days of age. His clan of origin fell upon extremely hard times and sold many hatchlings in an effort to bring in profit and to hopefully send them off to a better life. He is the youngest child of both his parents who were never a mated pair, and looks nothing like the rest of his family. His sister was also sold, but they've never made the effort to meet and look nothing alike (although the apparently two share a great love of the color purple).

IPBES was picked up by JanTinbergen at BobGraham's insistence and brought home, but was cared for by most of the clan since no one actually knew the first thing about raising a young coatl.

During his youth IPBES, like most hatchlings of the clan, was raised surrounded by stories of the great shift and grew to dislike of his own elemental background. Once he matured more he began to dislike his green eyes even more because he felt they looked horrible on his otherwise lovely complexion, and began to wear headgear that would cover his face in order to hide them.

It was the will of the powers that be however, that he be the first and likely only dragon in the clan to mutate to crystal. Fully gened and more stunning than before, IPBES began to accept and adore his oversized wings and to love the way his shiny new skin caught the light and made it glow like his eyes. Whether this was the intent of that which is or if it was even an order from the voice itself no one is quite sure, but most agree that he certainly deserved it.

When the daughter of BlackBone and granddaughter of PC came to the clan, the two fell quickly in love, and she decided to stay and live with him and her extended family. Many people were very uncomfortable with the union, as John is much younger than IPBES, and had only just matured at the time. Despite this, the two have an incredibly happy relationship and have had many wonderful children.
