One of the main protectors/trainers of the clan, she came from a land of ice and snow in search of new horizons to call her own.
Her charge is the clan itself!
She journeyed far and wide, but was drawn here by some unexplainable force!
She never really fit in in her old clan, she was always a bit more restless and adventurous than her clanmates, so one day she just packed up all her stuff, and paid a guide to lead her to one of Ice's borders-she didn't care which, she just wanted out of there.
She flew through Starfall isles, just momentarily pondering joining an Arcane clan, but she wanted to be farther away from the Snow squall Tundra, so she dismissed the idea and flew further.
Kyra carefully picked her way through The Scarred Wasteland, not wanting to be infected with any of the diseases currently calling the wasteland their home.
She felt she didn't want to join a Plague clan, those that visited her little clan in the ice were nice enough, but she was a bit wary of them and their diseased way of life.
Kyra flew into The Sea of a Thousand Currents, she met a ton of other Guardian dergs, but none of them or their ways sparked her interest.
She continued, as she got closer to the Windswept Plateau she noticed the winds got considerably stronger, they even had a warm feel to them, which despite being born an Ice derg she fell in love with.
She landed on what appeared to be bamboo steps and let the wind wash over her scales, a content smile on her face, and her eyes closed in delight.
The next thing she knew she heard wing beats and saw a male Skydancer, and his Hainu approaching her.
When he got close to her he greeted her and said that his name was AzureAsh and that she was very close to his clan's territory.
Curious, Kyra asked him about the clan, and if it was open to new members.
He said it was a playful Wind clan with a Mirror and a Guardian for leaders carved into the Reedcleft Ascent-which was where they were both chatting, and as for new members they'd have to talk to Miki or Shadowing.
He then invited her to fly back to the clan with him, which she eagerly accepted-she was highly curious of what a Wind clan was like.
She heard dergs from Wind clans were fun to be around and made some of the best companions one could ask for-they're also surprisingly good navigators what with all those compasses and maps!
They flew on, talking more about the clan, more so AzureAsh, as Kyra was intent on just listening to him and every word that flew out of his mouth.
As they got closer to the entrance of the lair system Kyra started to get excited, she couldn't wait to start her new life- if the leaders accepted her that is.
They flew into the hole that was plenty big enough for even a Guardian to comfortably fly through.
AzureAsh was just finishing telling Kyra about the clan when they landed on the soft floor of the Atrium.
They walked until they reached Miki and Shadowing's den, AzureAsh telling Kyra to wait there, and poking his head into the den.
She could hear an endless stream of puns and the booming laughter of a male Guardian emanating from the entrance to the den.
AzureAsh stepped into the den and waited for Miki or Shadowing to notice him, sitting down on the floor of plush verdant grass that lined the dens.
Miki stopped volleying off puns and went to go get a drink from the pools of water that were inside each den.
It was then that she heard someone clear their throat and noticed the male Skydancer patiently sitting there in the middle of the room.
He motioned to the door and beckoned Kyra into the den, whilst Shadowing composed himself, and brushed the dirt off of his scales, ready to see who this new derg was.
Miki sat down and cocked her head, trying to get a good look at the female Guardian, she asked what the Guardian's name was, and remarked that Kyra was such a nice name.
Kyra then asked if there was any room for her in the clan, to which Shadowing and Miki looked at each other and went off to discuss Kyra joining the clan.
It didn't take long, Miki grinning happily, while Shadowing stoic as ever didn't, but was still happy.
He approached her and extended his paw to her, which she happily accepted.
Miki nodded her head and told Kyra that she was welcome to stay in the clan as long as she wanted to.
Kyra was overjoyed and swished her tail happily, a big goofy grin on her face and her eyes seemed to shine brighter in glee.
She was finally here, she after much traveling had found a home worthy of her residence, and she couldn't be more ecstatic!
Miki and Shadowing then asked if she liked the wind, or if she would like a den closer to the inside of the lairs, Kyra stated that she loved the warm breeze, it was actually quite comforting to her.
Miki and Shadowing both nodding, Miki chuckling good-naturedly at Kyra's response.
Miki then started to walk out of the den, beckoning Kyra to follow her with a swish of her thin tail.
Kyra was lead not too far away to a rather large den with skylights opened to the afternoon sun, special curtains adorning the sides of the skylights.
In the corner was a pool of water, for drinking Kyra surmised after watching Miki get a drink.
Shadowing who had followed behind Kyra to make sure she didn't get lost, informed her that she'll later be getting her rations of meat, insects, fish, seafood, and plants.
She thanked him and Miki for their hospitality and settled down on the nest that was carefully made, she sighed contentedly and closed her eyes.
Miki and Shadowing made their way quietly out of the den and back to where AzureAsh was waiting.
They thanked him for finding the new member, which he humbly nodded in welcome at them, and strode out of the den, eager to get back outside, as he wanted to play with his Hainu more in the warm Summer breeze.
Kyra later awoke to find that there was a female Pearlcatcher putting food for her near her water source, she introduced herself as Tigressa, one of the first hatchlings that were bred.
Kyra was shocked that the food came so quickly, Tigressa could see Kyra's surprise and gave out a laugh, explaining that because one of the leaders was a Guardian, his offspring were both Guardians and that a male with green-tipped claws as well as his two daughters were members of the clan, they were well versed in what to feed any derg of the Guardian breed.
Kyra nodded, and shut her gaping mouth giving off a small embarrassed laugh, she then thanked Tigressa for the food and went over to investigate, since, after her nap, she was quite famished!
Tigressa laughed again and told Kyra not to worry about it, it's natural for someone who lived far away in another clan to be surprised by such things.
Tigressa then bid farewell to the famished Guardian, who was starting to salivate over all the scrumptious looking food that was laid out all for her.
Kyra didn't notice that the Pearlcatcher had left, as she was trying to decide on what to try first, she picked up a piece of meat, it didn't look like anything she had eaten on the Frozen Tundra.
She took a bite, taking in the rich taste of the meat, her eyes lighting up in pure joy, as she began to devour the rest of the meat.
Kyra had never tasted something so good in her entire life!
It was like the Ice Warden had blessed her mouth with the best meat that one could offer the wayward Guardian, though she supposed that this meat was blessed by the Windsinger instead, remembering that she was now part of a Wind clan.
She moved onto the plants, chewing on the foliage as flavors she had never experienced danced and swirled on her tongue!
Next was the seafood, she cocked her head at the odd-looking fish that were laid out in front of her, but she picked one out to feast on nonetheless.
It was better than any fish she had ever eaten before, the fish in the Frozen Tundra were always bland and cold unless you were lucky enough to have a fire to cook it on fish was not a joy to eat.
Here the fish were already warm, not needing to be cooked in the slightest, and could be eaten right off whatever was currently holding the specimen.
When she was done with the fish, Kyra delicately sniffed at the insects that were laid out in front of her and picked one out, it was drastically different from any bug she had seen at her previous home.
She popped it in her mouth and was pleasantly surprised at the taste, it was quite good, so much so that she reached for another.
When she was satisfied, she gave a contented sigh and looked around at her new home.
This was going to be great, she just knew it in her bones!
