With his agile clawed feet, Quinton can often be found digging out dens for the newcomers. It can be thirsty work in the beating heat of the Canyonwalks, but it makes him appreciate the shade. Goggles are necessary for the sand, which tends to get everywhere when digging with reckless abandon. When lounging in the wide mouth of his own den, Quinton can watch his fellow clan-mates walk by, busying away at their jobs, or offering him a waterskin to drink from. He passes a good portion of his downtime here, half-asleep to the thrum of others’ footsteps, or idly making plans for how to expand the warren. Quinton is a well-loved clanmate, always first to jump up to help someone - however, his loved ones have to insist on his wearing his tail-spines, on account of the fact that he probably wouldn't hurt a soul, even if provoked. Indeed, he suffered such a problem when a band of hares came across the clan, and began making their homes inside the dens. Unsure of what to do in light of this development, Quinton simply let a family of hares live in the back of his den for a week (before someone noticed). |

Nowadays, his familiar is his Crowned Bonepriest. The creature scuttles around after him, forever nudging him when he does not notice someone calling his name. Together, Quinton and his familiar wander around the clan, marking areas in the ground, and directing piles of stone. He is one of the main architects of the clan, always looking for a place to squeeze in more dens, or a way to expand the hubs of activities. He is a talented problem-solver in this area, able to expertly construct sheltered dens and high-ceiling warrens where others would cause collapsed walls and wonky rooms. Of course, his clanmates suspect he became talented at den-digging with the singular intent of making his own home comfortable. Everyone in the clan knows of Quinton’s love of sleep, and nothing is more welcome to him than a few hours in the shade on a hot day. His den is modestly decorated - a soft rug for him to sleep on, a horde of cool-looking rocks, and all his favorite den-digging kit. Catching a glimpse of Quinton shouldn’t be hard - after all, he’s often in his den... Written by @ghostpath |
