As Voidsong was led to the cluster of dragons, the Fae healing Nightsong with ease. The elder, a pale Guardian named Afal, introduced them all to their new allies. Deathknell the Fae, a powerful mage and expert in all things Arcane; Bethania, a bounty hunter of the highest skill; and before he could speak on the Coatl, Voidsong snarled, gathering magic around his claws.

"Where is there one of those disgusting creatures accompanying you?!" The Coatl turned, movements jerky and insectoid...clockwork-like...before clatters and clicks echoed through it's throat as it 'spoke.' Voidsong leapt over to his sister's prone form, regardless of his own injuries screaming in protest. Nothing was going to hurt her, even these...Mimic-allies! How dare they? The Skydancer put a wing over the monster as it chittered in apparent confusion.

"Deceiver may be a Mimic, but that doesn't mean it can't hunt others of it's kind." Her antenna twitched as if in amusement or anger. Voidsong felt his own nose twitch in lieu of not having his own to mimic. "I hunt my own kin as a living and you don't seem to be bellyaching about it? So stop being a hypocrite, plop your tail down, and let 'Knell fix you up. Deceiver is how we're finding these things and you aren't going to hurt a feather on his crest!" Voidsong looked down at Nightfall, eyebrows furrowing as she struggled to sit up. He plopped down and felt an uncomfortable magic, but soothing and strong nonetheless, wash over him. Afal lifted a wing to cover them as a slight drizzle began, the rain swiftly becoming stronger.

"Our lair wasn't attacked; we were helping out one that was." The pair of apprentice Singers nodded. "We've been hunting these things for a few years now; monsters aren't quite as rare as one would hope, dragon or beast." Deathknell blinked slowly before rasping in a soft monotone.

"Ascalon will want to know about this..." The Mimic, for Voidsong and Nightfall refused to use it's name, chittered and clacked loudly, seeming to agree. "We're going back to get him." He looked over towards the Nocturnes, voice turning as stern as a Fae could, "No flying." Bethania and Afal took to the sky, a living umbrella for the quartet underneath. The Nocturnes went to the other side of Deathknell, refusing to be anywhere near the abomination of a dragon. It chattered softly, crest falling, before moving farther away from them.

They'd get their teacher back. They'd eradicate Mimickind. Starting with this one.
Even though he’s fully conscious and not aggressive, Leon’s kept in custody by the clan's government instead of being able to go back to being an agent. They at first try to remove the infection, and ergo the mutations, from his body without killing him, but after a few weeks of work and experiments they find that removing the parasitic mutations is impossible at such a late stage of infection.

The clan government keeps him contained in a cell and occasionally tests him and draw blood and he’s mostly used as a last resort to send into situations that normal agents can’t handle. But other than that he’s never allowed to go home or leave, since the government now considers Leon (now Deceiver) a monster instead of a living sentient dragon.
