Exalting is not the end of a dragon's life, nor is it an end to all relationships. Love can bloom on the battlefield of Dominance, and this sometimes results in eggs. Many of these hatchlings choose to stay with the Arcanist, assisting Him with His research. On occasion, some will leave the Observatory and travel out into the Starfall Isles to start a new clan.

Bloodsea was one of these dragons. She longed to carve out her own place in the world, where she could do as she pleased. Her opportunity came when she and her mate Endersin were sent to investigate strange energies coming from the edge of the Starfall Isles. There, they found a strange nexus of cosmic power. Bloodsea and Endersin chose to stay there, and named it the Twisted Spire.

Soon, they were joined by a variety of other dragons - wanderers looking for new homes. Among these was Ellie, with whom Bloodsea fell in love, just as she had with Endersin.

These days, Bloodsea and her mates live at the centre of the Twisted Spire, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the clan. They seek to research the nature of the cosmic power nexus above them, to understand its properties, and to see if they can use it for their own needs.

Bloodsea has matured a great deal since she was a stubborn child eager to prove herself. She is an imposing sight on her throne, and is keen to keep order in her clan. After all, that cosmic power is causing enough chaos. Why add to it with the petty squabbles of dragonkind?
