Bone was the start of the Heights - its very origin. Its birth mother. Without her, the city would be nothing. She watches over it as a benevolent ruler, only biting at people every other day. Yet she's fully aware of the corruption happening below the city streets. She's not blind to her right hand's plans to overthrow her. She finds it more interesting than anything, really. The mirror tells her that everything is under control. She is much more powerful than anyone else here, and she knows this. Yes, maybe their power comes from the force with which they bite people. But if it gets the job done, who's to complain? (Other than the people they bite. Don't worry about it.) Bone sits on their throne and smiles. Everything is going according to plan.
