Steele is a peacekeeper, a dark, sullen stranger watching with a bright eye. He takes care of smaller issues in the clan, and works with the Stoneguard for larger problems. Finding lost pets, returning stolen items, rescuing familiars stuck in trees, breaking up fights. Few folks would keep a fight going with Steele around, though- he's intimidating, even when he doesn't mean to be. Being a tattered cyborg will do that. He doesn't even carry a weapon.

A tall, dark figure, his face hidden by a wide-brimmed hat, a bright eye peering out from the darkness. Steele is a quiet man, scary but gentle. His joints may be mostly metal now, but he moves carefully, if a little creakily. He regards Tesla as a hero, as well as a wonderful person, and loves them with all his- still beating- heart. Even with all that's happened, he believes in the good in people. With much of his body being made of metal, he deals with a constant dull ache.

He was abandoned, torn and dying, in the plains. The remnants of his old family had hunted him down. He would not have survived, had he not been found. It was a blur for many days, his first clear memory being sitting in Peppermint's clinic as she and Tesla looked over him. He and Tesla became close in the following months, as they helped him understand his new body, making little modifications and fixes. They gave him his new name. It was no question, after all that, if he would stay.
