Koalemos

Give a greeting to Koalemos, one of the clan's first Coatls to join, and one of the clan's Firemancers! Bought along with FireHeart on March 31st 2019, the two Coatls are glad to call the SkyWings clan their home :)

Backstory Behind Name:
When he arrived, he was without a designation so Cascade/I was given the chance to give him a name and decided upon this one since it sounded vaguely Fire-related but also still good as a stand alone name as well ^^)

Koalemos is a bubbly, jovial, happy, kind-hearted dragon with a sweet smile & a big heart and a warm disposition to those around him, just as warm as from the Flight which he hails.
He is a bit slower to anger than his brother is, and oftentimes becomes the voice of reason between them as he can keep a cool level-headed approach to things while FireHeart might be losing his cool.

Koalemos came to the clan when he was already fully grown, and wanted to leave his previous clan to see where he could land himself. He hadn't quite discovered his place in the world and wasn't having much luck when he was searching in his own home, but yet didn't quite feel like being Exalted was it. Thus he left his clan and went to the Auction House to see who would take him & where the winds of fate would bring him. Well, upon his time there, he met other dragons, but they never stayed for long before being taken, but one Coatl he met he became close friends with.. He tried not to let himself get attached to the other Coatl, but found a connection forming anyways..
Then, a yellow Skydancer accompanied by some other dragons walked into the AH, and as he watched the dragon, he noticed the Skydancer was moving about the stalls in an odd manner, as if looking for something and noticed the dragon's special stone on his head was slowly getting brighter as the Skydancer weaved his way over to the Coatl's stall. A Gaurdian, Fae and a Snapper followed behind, but also kept their distance as they let the Skydancer do his thing. Koalemos watched as the dragons meandered towards him, and felt his hopes rising until the Skydancer stopped at the stall next to his where his friend was, and he felt his hopes fall. There was a discussion and the dragons talked to the other Coatl then among themselves, then decided to pay the fee, and Koalemos waved to his new friend as he left with the group. He didn't notice that one dragon had stuck behind and lingered at his stall until he brought his gaze back down to the gate, and saw an orange Snapper with a bright blue belly standing there. "Uh.. h-hello," Koalemos started, trying to be nice and wondering what the dragon was thinking as it stood there in front of him. The Snapper smiled, which lit up its eyes with a happy glint. "Hi," the Snapper said, and it was then he could tell the dragon was female. "You seem nice. What's your story? How long have you been here?" She asked next, keeping an intent gaze on the Coatl. He was surprised by her curiosity, and as he thought to answer her then about to respond, one of the dragons from the group that had walked through called for the dragon in front of him, and the Snapper turned her head in their direction. Then, she turned back to the Coatl. "Aw, darn. Forget that, then. I geuss I better go. Seems we've found our dragon for the day," she said, then turned to walk away, with a forlorn look about her. She cast one last look to Koalemos then made to walk back to the others. But the Skydancer picked up on it, and followed her gaze, then walked back over to his stall. "Gabrian, what are you doing?" the Gaurdian in the group asked with a deep, gruff, manly voice, as he watched the Skydancer move. "Hold on," was all the dragon would say, then it stopped in front of his stall, standing where the Snapper was just seconds before. The Skydancer turned to Koalemos, and asked the same question the Snapper had, and the Coatl noticed the stone atop the other's head was glowing again. He answered as he wondered what the faint light emanating from that had meant, to which the Skydancer asked next if he'd like to leave with them. He saw all of the others in the group watching him, and caught sight of his friend, then nodded. The Skydancer smiled, then nodded as well and said that that could be a possibility then talked to the Gaurdian and Fae that were present. A moment later, the price for his fee was procured, and an Auction House attendee took care of the deal and Koalemos was ready to leave. He smiled to all the new dragons that would soon come to feel like family members to him, thankful he could go with his friend, and on that day, the SkyWings clan acquired its two very first Coatls.
From that day, as Koalemos got settled within the clan, he still kept his relationship with his close friend from the AH, who came to be known as FireHeart, and the two became as close as brothers, sharing a tight, familial-like bond. Though not related by blood, the two considered each other family, and stuck close by each other as they learned the way of the clan around them and forged new relationships with the dragons who resided here. Their bond was recognized by the others here as well, and now those within the clan will also often refer to the first Coatls as brothers.
As Koalemos settled himself and learned the ways of life here, he never did forget that Snapper who had stood outside of his stall at the AH, and worked to seek her out. For, as he thought about it, there was something about her that caught his attention, though he couldn't quite place his claw (finger) on what exactly. He saw that there were many dragons here, and as he learned to get to know each one, there was still a lot to keep track of and he had trouble remembering who everyone was. He also seemed to notice the Snapper he'd met had somehow seemed to disappear and fade into the background.. but he wasn't going to give up quite that easily. Something had drawn her to him that day, otherwise she wouldn't have been standing outside of his gate.. so where had she gone now? She had stood there only to fade away? That didn't make much sense, so Koalemos was determined to find out more.
One day he finally spotted her, sitting amongst the crowd in the audience of one of his shows, and recognized the Snapper from her bright colors and bright smile to match. After his Fire-mancing performance was through, he approached her the same way she had walked up to him before, and as confusion crossed her face, he smiled in greeting. She pondered for a second, then said "Hey, wait, I know you," as recognition clicked. "You're that Coatl from the Auction House," she continued, and he nodded. "Yep, sure am," Koalemos affirmed, then said "and I came to find the Snapper who found me, to learn more about her and why she was there that day." The Snapper blushed at this, for she did remember, but was a bit embarrassed to tell, but she came out with it anyways.. To which she said how he caught her eye for he was a handsome dragon and had great colors.. colors that she didn't want anyone else to steal, so that was why she lingered, hoping her clan-mates would notice him, too. He smiled at her response, feeling flattered and possibly a bit flustered as well, and from there, they struck up a conversation that lead to a friendship. As they talked even more over the next few times, and began spending time together like friends do, their friendship began to lead into something more..
