Biography
Siren
Hoard Keeper | Treasurer
Hoard Keeper | Treasurer

"I think what you meant is: ‘Of course, Siren. I will do as you wish’." Vain | Savvy | Orderly |

With a small hop, Siren stepped back from the shelf she had been working on, surveying it closely. Everything was cleaned, sorted, and orderly put into the right part of the hoard. Bottles of ember stood with bottles of ember, clay with clay, and gold with gold. Siren nodded approvingly. This was so much better than the unordered chaos this hoard had been. Good thing they got her now.
Personality
|
Siren is a very vain and self-centered dragon. She knows her wings tend to amaze most other dragons and she invests a lot of time to ensure their colors shine brightly. She inherited her mother’s amazing singing voice and will perform whenever she is asked… or not. Siren loves to be the center of attention. There is only one thing that Siren loves more than getting her will. Whenever she encounters chaos, she will order it. Valuables of any kind (even chunks of clay) she will sort, categorize, and put into shelves. Using her complex order system, she will take any chance to make profit with the clan’s hoard. While her help as hoard keeper is mostly appreciated, many dragons are intimidated by her cunningness. |
Background
Siren was born to Torah, a messenger to a desert clan, and Mayura. Her mother left her father while Siren was still in an egg and took her child with her. Siren never met her father, but she knows he is part of a group of bandits. She never had much interest in meeting him, after he never cared about her as well. She grew up with her mother’s clan. When Siren and her siblings were old enough to not need constant care anymore, their mother returned to her work as messenger. Often, Siren would not see her for days on end. It was soon after that her first brothers left the clan to join the ranks of a deity. One by one, her family left her behind. At first, Siren missed them and cried herself to her sleep. At some point however, she stopped caring, growing more and more distant to not only her mother, but the entire clan. Siren left the clan while her mother was out on a mission. Without a proper goal in mind, Siren only knew she had to leave. Even though some dragons tried, they could not convince her to stay. So they let her go, but not without many good wishes and a bit of treasure. She left the desert behind and traveled Sornieth for a while. Her sharp mind and good looks helped her get around. Siren knew her way around numbers and valuables and could easily make a living with trade. It was by coincidence that Siren ended up close to Focal Point. While she was watching the observatory and wondering what treasures might lie there, Claudius and his goons approached her. They shooed her away due to her grey body color. Her pride deeply wounded and her anger fuming, Siren swore to make them pay for this humiliation. Shortly after that, she stumbled across the Rose Spar. Siren immediately realized the value of the crystals covering the deeper caves of the clan’s lair. She also saw Alaysa’s desperate need of a treasurer, as the clan’s hoard kept growing. Siren offered her help, knowing that the other dragons could help her get revenge on Claudius. |
Relationships
Siren and Miori have a difficult relationship. It is not that they despise each other. In fact, they could even be friends if they would not quarrel about money and the meaning of art all the time. In Siren’s eyes, art is nice and fair, but nothing to invest large parts of the clan’s treasure. She measures art’s value by the price it fetches and since Miori barely sells anything she makes, Siren does not agree with her spending habits. That, however, does not mean Siren does dislike Miori’s art. In fact, she admires the Skydancer for her creativity and also for her blunt way to put things. No clanmember speaks about the fact that Siren’s outfit was another one of Miori’s overly expensive art projects. |

Admit it
You were the one that left a flower bouquet in front of my door, weren't you?
No. No, it didn't.
I am not worked up! Just...
Surprised
What effect do you mean?
Nobody randomly gives out gifts.
What do you want, Summer?
