Her heartbeat raced, but Miela took a few deep breaths to calm it. Now was not the time to be nervous. Now was the time to concentrate. He had high hopes for her, expected a lot. She would not disappoint him. In the distance, she could see something moving. It was a black dragon with white wings, seemingly searching the ground. It was the first time she saw a Paleling and she would not let him fool her with his innocent looks. It was time for her to set his plan into motion. She screeched lowly, helplessly, like a lost child. And the Paleling turned to look at her.
Personality
|
Miela is very determined and ambitious. She grew up with Claudius’ ideals and values his teachings highly. In her eyes, dragons with monochrome colors carry a sickness that will destroy the world if not stopped. The Rose Spar is a nest of this sickness, where it grows and thrives. Sooner or later, Miela is convinced of that, it will break free and spread across Sornieth, killing without mercy. Then, the days of the Shade will begin. In the lair, she is known as generally sweet and clever dragon with some quirks. She shows great interest in the leadership of the lair, but avoids talking to Alaysa and Shirogane directly. Instead, she’ll get her information from other sources. She plays the role of the shy and curious youngster and is very good with it. |
Background
Shortly after Night of the Nocturne, Miela's egg was found in the undergrowth of Starwood Strand. It was cold, no mother was close to warm it. If it had not been found, Miela would have never seen the light of day. But the finder, Claudius was his name, a young Coatl, showed mercy to the unborn hatchling. He took the egg with him to his clan, where he hatched it in his cave. Miela was born with pale scales and muted colors, with only her wings being of vibrant yellow. Some dragons in Claudius' following wanted to kill her right away as sick and unlucky, but Claudius himself stopped them. In his eyes, Miela carried enough color to not belong to the Palelings as he called the monochrome colored dragons. He saw an opportunity with the small Nocturne and planned on taking it. By that time, the Rose Spar had grown enough to be a thorn in Claudius' flesh. He despised the group of Palelings that gathered on Starwood Strand, and while he knew they were still close, he neither knew where their hideout was or what they were planning. Now, having Miela, the solution was simple. Claudius raised the hatchling as a follower of his, instilling his ideas and ideals in her. When Claudius was sure enough of Miela's loyalty and conviction, he send her out on her mission. She was still a young dragon at that time, but she knew her purpose and goal: She’d get into the Rose Spar, make them trust her… and leak their plans and secrets. |
Relationships
Claudius is Miela’s mentor and master. She is impressed by the role he took to save the world and does anything to support him. She is completely loyal towards him and would never do anything to disappoint him. |
