Biography

(still in progress of editing)

Remember to draw one comic frame per Part in his story, kind of like a flashback. Also need to format bio.
Incinerare
pronounced 'In-sin-ah-rare'.

Overall Plot Points...

+ Incinerare also known as In, Incin ('in-sin'), or Inerare ('in-er-rare') by his friends.
+ Cold and sheltered childhood.
+ Warmest and sweetest child ever, despite his upbringing.
+ Grew up afraid of the Light, and the Outside.
+ Curious by nature.
+ Hurt by the Light (well, technically Fire) during an incident when younger.

+ Years later (even though he is only 2 weeks old, the storyline will be 2 days = 1 year, so 7 years later) he came to our Fire clan after a series of trials and adventures, learning about everything Outside of the Shadows along the way i.e Mother is not always right, there is duality in life (Light and Shadow).

+ He has the Smoke gene right now, but i want to save to give him Opal later.
+ Backstory will be something about how over time his Smoke hardened and formed into crystals/Opal, but he learns how to harness it as a power of sorts along his journey (after which je joins our Fire clan). So he can actually shift the Opal back into Smoke, and vice versa...
+ Maybe Shadow/Light limbs (Fire might be a bit weird as he isn't part Fire, and it contrasts a lot), like extra arms and claws.

Part I:

Far across the land the sun had risen high into the sky, spreading across Sornieth like a mother's warm and gentle caress, bringing with it the dawn of a new day.
The earth itself awoke with sounds, animals and dragons alike rising with the sun to start their daily rituals. From the squirrel scurrying to find nuts for their morning breakfast, to the slow breeze stirring lush greenery as a deer opened it's eyes, a splash as a fish broke the surface of the water, and here and there, the sound of birds twittering in the trees. The land was full of life.
And yet, one would have never guessed that this was the momentous occasion that a certain Shadow dragon would have been born.

The Tangled Woods they called it. A land covered in darkness, and the opposite of what comes to mind when one thinks of life.

Here, in stark contrast to the sun's warm glow, bitter cold darkness swept across miles of twisted thorny bramble, musty dams, and darkly lit forests where dragons mysteriously disappeared. Try as the sun may, it never fully reached beyond the tree tops. Or the deepest darkest caves, which is where our story... really, truly...

Begins.

Part II:

Crack.

The sound was so soft normally it would have been missed amongst all the buzz of daily life in a normal place, but this was not a normal place, and this was not a normal sound.

Crack.

There it was again, another sound breaking the silence that was otherwise consuming.

Crack.

What was that sound?

A faint smell of something burnt wafted out into the air, tendrils of smoke seeping out from the small cracks of a small round object. And curiouser still, the cracking continued, getting louder and louder until...

What seemed to be a small snout protruded outwards, nostrails flaring, smelling the stale air of the cave for the first time. Then came an arm, and then a leg, one limb after another escaping, until the creature fully emerged. The creature, was a baby dragon.

There was no cry, no high pitched sound to signal his birth. No Mother to warmly greet him. Instead he was met with silence.

'What is my name?', 'Who am i?', 'Why am i here?'.

These were questions he didn't have answers to.
And he was curious.

Though weak as he was, putting one foot before the other, the hatchling decided to go exploring.

Eyes that were still adjusting saw a shadow darting in the rocks around him.

'What was that?', he thought to himself, wary and afraid, he curled up into a ball, trying to make himself smaller and blend into the Shadows as best he could.

The shadows in the cave flickered.

Silence.

Moments passed, or was it hours? He wasn't sure, all he knew was that his eyelids had drooped and he was starting to fall asleep when somewhere else in the cave, rubble tumbled down, causing the Nocturne to sharply turn his head, straining to hear where the noise had come from.

Dook-dook-dook-dook-dook-dook.
His little heart beat quickly, small puffs of smoke escaping as he tried to calm himself by inhaling and exhaling.

And then a Shadow loomed from behind him, covering him in darkness.

He did not know her, but he would come to know his Mother soon enough.

Part III:

He had always wondered about the Light.

Mother had always told him that it was a bad thing, that it was dangerous, but Incinerare was a curious dragon by nature, and as such he often did things that brought about his Mother's disapproval. He never took it too far though, of course.

Until one day, a day... he ventured Outside.

(write up story about how In goes on an adventure, gets hurt by the Light and his Mother comforts him. Because Mother knows best... right?)

Part IV:

She told him that being in the Shadows was better than being in the Light, and he believed her.

It would be years before little Incinerare would take his first steps into the real world, into the Light, but, for now...

For now...

His Mother wrapped her wings around In, cradling his small body, her scales cold as ice, yet comforting, as the darkness came.

And sleep came along with it.
