Evenus – From Greek Mythology. According to Greek legend, Evenus was the name of a prince who drowned himself in the river and was then transformed into the god of the river.
Biography:
Evenus is an old and distinguished dragon. He is unusually laidback and easy-going for a Gaoler, in stark contrast to his mate Xiulan, a bold and fierce dragoness. Nevertheless, though his temper is slow to ignite it burns hot and ferocious once awakened. He is fond of hatchlings and dragonets and spends much of his waking time either performing his duties to his order, studying or playing with the babies.
Once he became of age he joined the Overseers; the order dedicated to containing the largest and most ancient Horrorbeasts.
He joined his current clan after meeting Xiulan and falling in love with her. He has had many eggs with his mate, though none of them have stayed with their clan of birth, setting out once they become of age to join one of the Five Orders and find their duties and define their sense of self. Before they had their own eggs they spent some time adopting and looking after orphans.
