Biography

Chef de Cuisine and Pâtissier of the Black Bog Clan

Good-natured | Demure | Benevolent
Mate: Damascus
Aurora Pangolin

Quiet and kind, though perhaps a bit of a pushover, Delphyne is a friendly dragon who is often found in the kitchens of Tenebrae's Teas, Tisanes, Tonics and Tinctures creating some of the finest pastries and meals in the Tangled Wood. Her foods may not be high-society gourmet, but they are hearty and wholesome and as comforting as a warm blanket. Many dragons, from all over Sornieth, flock to her baker's stall for a slice of warm mushroom bread and a savoury bowl of bog stew.

Delphyne originally came to the Black Bog Trading post as a patron, a regular at Tenebrae's establishment. It was here that she met and came to know Damascus, a dour and serious dragon who helped run the teashop. She would often stay until after the shop has closed to help the male Imperial clean up, sometimes cooking meals for him and the elderly Tenebrae. She soon became enamored with Damascus and her quiet company, good nature and wonderful cooking quickly melted the heart of the normally cranky male.

Damascus eventually lobbied to have Delphyne join their clan, inviting the Matriarch, Rhizanthel, to try the female's amazing pastries. Though the Matriarch only ate two beignets, she was quickly convinced of her worth as a chef and Delphyne was formally inducted as the clan's Chef de Cuisine and Pâtissier. A fancy title, to be certain, though it amounts to little more than her being in charge of the teashop's rather small kitchen.

Still, the industrious Imperial couldn't be happier to bake the bread, stir the stew and craft the cakes for the merchant clan! As proud to serve humble travelers as serving regal ambassadors.
