Biography

herp derp use this bio for her, like the rest of the squad. though i wanna commission headshots of them all before putting the info in a bio.

let's see if i can get this out before rollover hhh. i got halfway, yey. finished the rest later. :v

here we go...

Ven is a dragon who comes across unenthusiastic and pragmatic when she is first seen. She is straightforward, preferring to be upfront and to the point with others and with most situations. She likes to plan ahead and have a course of action while being organized about it, preferring a smart approach to things versus acting spontaneously. However, even with her no-nonsense approach to most things, she does have a tendency to tease others harshly. This is directed at those that irritate her to no end. For those she likes, the teasing is much milder and friendly.

It's easy to irritate the dragon, and she can be quite aggressive, as she is not above smacking and headbutting others to keep them in line. That being said, her irritation rarely leads to real anger. Her aggressive acts are mild, not out to do real harm as not much force is put behind them.

While Ven is not the most extroverted dragon, she does enjoy socializing and can be quite friendly despite the unenthusiastic look on her face. She is empathetic of other's feelings and tries to choose her words that, while getting her point across, won't sound too harsh or put down others. She cares deeply for the chosen few that she considers close to her, not hesitating to come to their defense with words or actions.

Even though she comes across as cold and unfeeling, Ven doesn't take compliments too well. That isn't to say she hates them; its quite the opposite. She gets flustered when such attentions are directed at her, oftentimes trying to change the subject but not without complimenting the other and giving her thanks.

---

Ven's body is an interesting combination of lithe and muscle. She is made to be able to withstand the pressures of the deep waters from which she was born, yet her genetics crammed that into a form that's better suited for speed than power. The crystals that grow in her body are hard, yet warm to the touch and don't seem to bother her at all. The only trouble she seems to have with them is when they are broken. She'll be in discomfort before she's able to scratch them off so a new section can grow in its place.

The fur that grows on her limbs is very curly near the roots but straightens out towards the ends. Her beard, tail and cheek fur has a uniform waviness about it though. The mane along her spine is mostly straight, with only a bit of curl along her spine.

Her horns start as a silver colour along the base and turns a lighter colour towards the ends. They do not have many prongs, but the larger part of her horns are broad and shovel-shaped like a Fallow deer. Her ears mostly just hang downwards and look floppy. At the end of them, she has a single silver loop as jewelry.

Lil Tidbits:
The opal patches that grow on her body don't seem to get bigger as time goes on. They are just a part of her. Though they are hard to the touch, it's more like tough leather that is mailable as long as she is warm. When she gets cold, like she would be underwater, the patches are hard and rigid, easier to break and much more impairing to her movement.
When they are damaged, she has to scratch or pull them off so that a new patch can form. This is the only situation that causes her opal spots to enlarge, as the opal will always take up more space than the previous one did. She likes to make jewelry out of the fallen off chunks. Sometimes she just straight up eats them though. She gets teased about it a lot.

Ven's water magic shows itself in different ways. Most commonly, she can release it from her mouth as a high-pressure spray. If she has ingested a lot of salt, she can eject the magic as either a viscous substance or as the previously mentioned spay, but with chunks of salt in it. If she has recently consumed her opal, she can add it to her attack.
She has been working on being able to raise the temperature of her water breath, making it scalding. Or just releasing steam instead of water.
