Fjord

A child of primordial sea creatures, and a creature of the deep in her own right. Fjord is still young, at the very beginning of her millennia-long life, and thus her younger sister Siren has quickly become her elder in maturity.

However, this mere child is not to be underestimated. Fjord holds influence over the raging seas and thunderstorms, and if it is her whim, she can split the sky open with storms, or rock the waves high enough to meet the heavens.

Some sailors will leave offerings for the Sea-Child, preferably whole shells, toys, or other trinkets that could amuse many of the daughters they leave on shore, and hope to return to alive. And for her part, Fjord grants safe passage through troubled waters.

Her aid may be considered a bit rough, hurtling ships away from reefs and plunging them toward shore with gale winds in their sails, but storms are her specialty, and she can be trusted to make the most of them.

A merciful deity, Fjord does not endorse the acts of Scylla and Charybdis, and will challenge them on their own territory to rescue their prey. She does so rarely, however, as they are far older and more powerful deities than she, and even her life would be in danger if the twins could ever catch her.
