Glacier

glacier was a healer from a clan in the cairnstone rest, one which for many generations had been too busy defending its home from outsiders to recive or care about news from the outside world. but, one day, a dragon fell ill with a strange sickness, which quickly began to spread. without fail, the dragon would become sick, then seem to recover, only to become violent, attacking others in the clan before dying. only one dragon was spared - glacier himself. he had acquired a small second age relic mere days before the first infection that was powerful enough to ward off what glacier would later learn was no disease at all, but instead the shade.

glacier was left to wander dragonhome. no clan would take him, fearing that he may be an asymptomatic carrier of the illness that his clan had fallen to. though he was able to stop at clans for supplies and food, glacier was never allowed to even stay the night.

eventually, glacier noticed a dragon who was seemingly in the same situation as him, a teal fae he saw over and over again at different inns. hoping to maybe make freinds with the wanderer, he walked up and talked to the dragon, who introduced themself as shadowstalker.

glacier and shadowstalker met again and again at different inns across dragonhome, eventually deciding to travel together.

over time, the two bonded, eventually falling in love. but glacier couldnt help but notice that, sometimes, shadowstalker would vanish for hours at a time, sometimes coming back wounded. after they came back badly wounded and on the brink of death, glacier confronted shadowstalker, who explained that they were an assassin. glacier was conflicted, but ultimately his love for the other dragon won out.

he suggested that, since they were clearly losing their touch, shadowstalker retire and maybe found a clan with him. shadowstalker agreed, stating that they knew the perfect place.

when they were healed enough to move, shadowstalker led glacier to a series of enormous craters full of ruins. they stated that this was where they had hatched, alone save for the bodies of their would-be clanmates.

glacier and shadowstalker settled down, planting the seeds that would eventually grow into this clan.

everything was going great for a while, until a while after shadowstalker and glacier's first clutch of offspring grew up. their child crowmaiden, not satisfied with her position in the clan, sneaked a sleeping potion into the pair's meal and, while they were unconsious, had them shipped off to the world pillar.

glacier only woke up when he was already at the world pillar. after explaining to earthshaker that he didnt want to be here and was drugged by his daughter, glacier was told that nobody reputable enough to be willing to talk to the earthshaker would take him there directly. so glacier spent the next while traveling with various caravans until, finally, he found himself close enough to head to the clan himself.

glacier found that the clan he came home to was much different than the one he left. it was split in two, one ruled by jaspers and raven and the other ruled by shatterstone. glacier was taken in by shatterstone's clan. although he wanted to help reunite the clans, he didnt exactly know what to do about that, and ended up not doing anything until shadowstalker successfully reuinted the two clans with the aid of rotTouched and adele, also reuiniting the two lovers.

the five leaders (jaspers, raven, shadowstalker, glacier, and shatterstone) agreed to form a council, and the rest is history.
