Shadowstalker

shadowstalker was one of sornieth's most feared assassins, forced to wander dragonhome because no clan would take them. they would stop at clans for food and supplies, even occasionally being hired to take someone out, but never being allowed to stay longer than a few nights.

but all that changed when they met glacier, who approached shadowstalker without fear and attempted to befreind them. intruiged by this seemingly fearless dragon, shadowstalker reciprocated glacier's attempts, and soon found themself traveling with him.

over time, the two bonded, eventually falling in love. after shadowstalker was badly wounded on a job, glacier suggested that maybe it was time they retired, and maybe even found a clan with him. afraid they wouldnt live much longer if they continued the assasins life and genuinely wanting to have a life with glacier, shadowstalker agreed.

they led glacier to a series of enormous craters in the shattered plane. shadowstalker was deeply familiar with these craters - they had hatched there, all alone except for corpses and ruins. even the eggs surrounding them were smashed wide open, the embyos within rotting on the ground. shadowstalker grew up in the lawless land surrounding the remains of the dead clan, leading them to become an assassin.

by the time they returned to the place of their birth, the corpses had rotted away into dust, but many of the buildings still remained. in this ruin, shadowstalker and glacier were able to plant the seeds of what this clan would eventually become.

everything was going great for a while, until a while after shadowstalker and glacier's first clutch of offspring grew up. their child crowmaiden, not satisfied with her position in the clan, sneaked a sleeping potion into the pair's meal and, while they were unconsious, had them shipped off to the world pillar.

shadowstalker woke up halfway there and was able to escape, but was seperated from glacier. shadowstalker had no idea where they were or how to get back home, once again alone and left to wander dragonhome. not really knowing what else to do, they once again resumed the life of an assassin. it went well for a while, until shadowstalker was hired to take out another assassin. they badly injured shadowstalker, but, recognizing them as once having been one of the most feared assassins in dragonhome, the assassin didnt kill them out of respect, simply taking them back to the doorstep of the clan they were known to have founded and dissapearing into the night.

shadowstalker's leg was permanently injured as a result of it, and they now walk with a cane.

shadowstalker found that the clan they came home to was much different than the one they left. it was split in two, one ruled by jaspers and raven and the other ruled by shatterstone. shadowstalker settled in the one ruled by jaspers and raven, laer managing to convince two dragons who had recently found their way to the clan, rotTouched and adele, to aid them in reuniting the two clans. these endevors succeeded, also allowing shadowstalker to reunite with glacier, who was in the other clan.

the five leaders (jaspers, raven, shadowstalker, glacier, and shatterstone) agreed to form a council, and the rest is history.
