to observers, her feathers appear to hold the stars themselves. it's unsure whether these are just an illusion produced by her starmap genes or whether she truly has the essence of the stars in her blood.
though, rumors say she does carry demonic essence in her blood.

hailing from the starfall isles, hohtava even then was seen as something powerful. her celestial feathers carried some energy that intrigued other arcane dragons. aside from that, she was said to come from the lines of several of sornieth's most powerful dragons.

hohtava sensed energy from her presence in the starfall isles that disturbed her. no other skydancer there seemed to pick up on it--but she felt like she needed to leave. the magic present there was something she should not have, she felt. but she felt like she always had to see the stars, and the isles were the best place--so she went to the next best option. the southern icefields.

though she would have preferred to initially make dwellings among a larger clan, she was unable to refuse the kindness of the two tundras she stumbled across one day, along with the few stragglers who had recently made that place home. she's made herself an observatory-den space in a cave connecting to the rest of the burrows with a nice cliff-balcony. decorated with crystals and magic artifacts, it feels like the presence of the stars is within.

though initially a bit cold--a difference from most skydancers--hohtava began warming up rather quickly. but she tends to rather easily get into arguments with one certain pearlcatcher: solista. aside from the fact that skydancers are usually mediators, the other clan members can't help but sigh in exasperation whenever hohtava grumbles and complains about solista's haughtiness and her stupid pretty eyes and gorgeous purple scales and how infuriatingly endearing her smug chuckle is and--of course, she denies that it would be anything but hatred. why would it be?
