Iris was born the dignified daughter of one of the clan's highest thought of members, resident progeny specialist Morning. Because of this, some pretty hardy standards and expectations were placed on her shoulders young. For a long time she was raised ot be a clan delegate, a sentry that could be sent out to differing clans to represent Hedera dragons in disputes.

And she did well. Her training shaped her into a well-spoken and headstrong dragon that did not back down against challenges, but at the same time never hedged near insubordination. For a long time she did her clan proud, even getting sent out on field missions to settle disputes and returning victorious.

However, delegation wasn't her passion. And what started as a mild interest in the science of alchemy soon grew to a full-blown obsession. Long hours were spent pouring over formulas and ingredients, and as her interest in alchemy grew impassioned, her care for her old career fell to the wayside. Eventually she was forced to confront the fact that her passion was not what it'd been raised to be, and she'd only be happy if she truly sought after the sciences. And so she did. And she'll swear to this say it was worth it.
