⌊ Starbreeze ⌉ the Scents Merchant

Once a warrior of the Dune Guard, Starbreeze patrolled the borders of the territory along the beaches with spear and shield in hand, defending the territory and acting as protection for travelers met along the way. An injury to his right hind forced him to prematurely retire, however, after the tendon was damaged by a beast that had been preying on caravans. Tradition allowed him the right to join the elders and injured in simple work, but he found the duties of weaving and sewing tedious, his inability to stay still for long causing him anxiety and grief. He soon discovered a love for growing and tending after joining workers in the farmlands, though he was still found himself unsatisfied.

It wasn't until his explorations brought him through along the borders of Aethereus that he discovered his passion. After discovering a large, brilliant orange flower with spine-like thorns, Starbreeze began to study the local flora, even going so far as to ask for the advice and aid of the local florist. He began to grow and tend flowers and various other plants over the years, first for the simple pleasure and then, after some experimentation, for making bottled scents. It wasn't long before his wares became famous in the area. His skills with floral arrangements also became popular, particularly for festivals and ceremonies; crowns weaved from plant life were already a common accessory for his people, but his work quickly became the most sought after.

Starbreeze was born several years prior to his herd's move into Aethereus Valley. Though he remembers the fear and despair of being pushed from his homeland, he holds no ill will towards those dragons who granted them respite but remains understandably cautious of outsiders. His soft personality makes him easy to approach even by the shyest of souls, and though quiet his kindness is easily understood from the tiniest of gestures. He's particularly popular with children- and not just because of his brightly dyed mane and tail- and would not hesitate if one needed his aid, nor to give away a sample of his hard work if they could not afford it.
