Biography
⌈ MARROW ⌋
Pathologist / Researcher
Primal Twin to Marron
"they/them"
"Tell me, what do you see?"
Marrow is a clan researcher and specialist in foreign diseases. They have their own written section of notes and records in the archives. While not the one who develops cures, they study the effects of diseases and how they spread. Their knowledge proves very useful in aiding the clan doctors and alchemists.
They are a very mysterious dragon, born as one of a set of Primal twins - an extremely rare magical anomaly. Because of this, they are said to be touched by the Plaguebringer herself, and displays very powerful Plague magic. Most dragons tend to stay away, due to their strange appearance and "creepy" job, and they're perfectly fine with it. They get to work undisturbed as long as fellow clan mates keep their distance.
As a Plague dragon, they have a very strong belief of adapting and growing stronger, and they see medical advancements as a part of it. They want to make sure that their clan mates can do the same. Their main goal is to eradicate lethal and life-long diseases from Sornieth, to help other dragons thrive.
Marrow rarely talks and prefers to listen in on conversations. They mostly think to themself. When they do speak, it's often in the form of a question or thought.
⌈ BACKSTORY: The Primal Plague Twins ⌋
Marron and Marrow's origins are a mystery. The birth of Primal twins was extremely rare in Sornieth - and only so many have been witnessed, or are even still together. The twins were believed to be plague-touched - a blessing from their mother deity - and quickly developed a powerful and dangerous affinity for Plague magic. They never knew their parents and were raised by an unknown dragon, who later left them to the wastelands once they were old enough to fend for themselves.
For most of their lives, the twins were coveted by clans and rogue dragons for their rarity and potential. They suffered trust issues and weren't keen on joining any group. As hatchlings, they had made a promise to stick together. No matter where they went, one wouldn't go without the other. Their minds would act as one and often shared the same ideas. If one fell astray, the other could help them.
Marron and Marrow joined the clan on the condition that the researchers did not use them as test subjects and that they were not obligated to use their magic for anything. They did not want to become objects - or worse: weapons. They only wanted a safe place to rest and call "home." Satyrion and the ambassadors agreed to their terms and welcomed them in.
There are many things that the Plague Primal twins can see that the others do not. They have difficulty explaining what exactly it is that they see, though. It is something beyond comprehension, except to maybe the non-dragon outsiders...
